ShopHud (“we”, “our”, “us”) operates the ShopHud mobile application (“App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect user information when you use our App.

By using ShopHud, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information to provide and improve our services:

a) Personal Information

  • Name

  • Phone number and/or email address

    (used for account creation, login, and communication)

b) Location Information

  • Delivery address provided by the user

  • Approximate location to determine service availability and delivery feasibility

We do not track precise location in the background.

c) Order and Transaction Information

  • Products ordered

  • Order history

  • Delivery type selected:

    • Same-day delivery (3:00 PM – 6:00 PM)

    • Immediate delivery (15–20 minutes)

  • Payment method selected:

    • Cash on Delivery (COD)

    • UPI (transaction reference only)

We do not collect or store debit card, credit card, or bank account details.

d) App Usage and Technical Data

  • App interactions

  • Crash reports and performance data

    (collected via Firebase services)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

  • Create and manage user accounts

  • Authenticate users using Firebase Authentication

  • Process and deliver grocery orders

  • Provide delivery services within store operating hours (9:00 AM – 7:00 PM)

  • Communicate order updates and support messages

  • Improve app performance, stability, and user experience

  • Ensure security and prevent misuse

3. Third-Party Services

ShopHud uses trusted third-party services that may collect information to provide their services:

  • Firebase Authentication – for user login and account management

  • Firebase Firestore / Database – for storing app and order data

  • Firebase Analytics & Crash Reporting – for app performance and error tracking

These services are governed by their own privacy policies and comply with applicable data protection standards.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent users’ personal information.

Data may be shared only:

  • With delivery personnel for order fulfillment (limited to name, address, and contact)

  • When required by law or legal process

  • To protect the rights, safety, and security of users and the platform

5. Data Security

We take reasonable and appropriate measures to protect user data, including:

  • Secure authentication methods

  • Encrypted connections

  • Restricted access to sensitive information

However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

6. Data Retention

  • User data is retained only as long as necessary to provide services

  • Order and transaction records may be retained for legal, accounting, or operational purposes

  • Users may request account deletion by contacting us

Users have the right to:
